About Liquid Facelifts
Liquid facelifts address signs of premature facial aging using either neuromodulators, dermal fillers, or a combination of the two. Facelifts are incredibly popular for their ability to achieve natural-looking yet rejuvenated results. (2) A liquid facelift takes this a step further by providing those same results without requiring the substantial preparation or recovery of surgical intervention.
About Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators are injectable treatments that interact with your neurotransmitters. These treatments inhibit the release of acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter responsible for repeated muscle contractions that lead to the formation of wrinkles and creases. (3) This means that when specialist administer neuromodulators into specific areas of the face, they not only reduce the appearance of aging but simultaneously prevent it from developing. Neuromodulators are highly popular and were the most performed minimally invasive cosmetic procedure in the country in 2024, with specialists administering more than 9.88 million injections that year. About Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are injectable, gel-like substances that specialists inject beneath the skin to help improve facial volume and fill in creases and lines, restoring a more youthful-looking appearance. This versatile treatment can address various concerns around the face, including the under-eyes, cheeks, temples, lips, nose, and more. Soft tissue fillers were the second most performed minimally invasive cosmetic treatment in the country, reaching more than 5.3 million injections in 2024 alone. (2)

Candidates
Candidates for a liquid facelift include anyone interested in reducing visible signs of aging through non-surgical methods. This treatment is highly beneficial for patients experiencing the development of facial wrinkles, creases, and fine lines, as well as those experiencing hollowing or lost facial volume. Individuals with asymmetrical facial features may also benefit from treatment.
All interested candidates should be in good overall health and hold realistic expectations for their results. The nurse injector will determine each patient’s candidacy after evaluating their medical history and skin quality.
Personal Consultation
Before undergoing your liquid facelift, you will need to attend a personal consultation with a nurse injector at either one of our offices. They will explain what a liquid facelift consists of, as well as the different products that this treatment can feature. The nurse injector will then ask you several questions about your medical history, concerns, and ideal aesthetic. They will also evaluate the quality and condition of your facial skin, as well as your overall anatomy.
They will use these details to determine your eligibility and craft your treatment plan. The nurse injector will recommend the best injectable treatment for you, as well as any additional procedures they may feel will help you achieve your goals. They will also dedicate time throughout the consultation to answer any questions you may have. By listening to your concerns and taking the time to understand your desired results, our nurse injector can provide a tailored treatment plan rather than a generalized solution.

Preparation
To help you prepare for your liquid facelift, the nurse injector will provide a set of preparation instructions. It is essential to follow each of these steps to ensure a smooth recovery and optimal results.
You may need to refrain from taking certain medications and supplements that contain blood-thinning properties. You will also need to stop drinking alcohol or using nicotine products several days before your procedure. Staying hydrated and keeping your skin moisturized will help optimize your results as well. On the day of your procedure, we ask that you arrive with clean skin that is free from any makeup or skincare products.
Procedure
The details of your procedure may vary depending on your treatment plan, but your nurse injector will give you a clear outline during your personal consultation. Liquid facelifts typically take between 30 and 60 minutes to perform, and each begins with the application of topical anesthesia to enhance your comfort.
After preparing the treatment area, the nurse injector will administer the injectable(s) of your choice into your face. They will inject the dermal fillers into areas such as the cheeks, chin, under-eye areas, temples, and more. This will help create a more plump and voluminous appearance that enhances the natural contours of your face.
They will also administer neuromodulators into areas more prone to repeated muscle contractions. These can include areas such as the forehead or eyebrows. When administered, these treatments will help relax the facial muscles contributing to the development of facial wrinkles and creases. This can help soften the appearance of wrinkles, creases, and facial lines, while simultaneously preventing new ones from developing.
Recovery
After your liquid facelift, you may experience redness or swelling in the treated areas, but these effects are temporary and will resolve on their own within several days. For the best results, you will need to refrain from any strenuous or physical activities, as well as excessive or unprotected sun exposure. You should also avoid placing any pressure or massaging the treated areas for at least 24-48 hours. You will be able to return to your routine immediately after your appointment, making this a recommended treatment for those with busier schedules or more proactive lifestyles.
Your nurse injector will provide a full set of recovery instructions during your personal consultation. If you have any questions or concerns while you are recovering, our team will be available to help guide you.
Results
You will be able to experience the results of your liquid facelift immediately after your appointment, with results improving as any swelling subsides. You will be able to enjoy more lifted and defined facial contours, smoother skin, and an overall more youthful-looking appearance. Depending on the specific products your nurse injector selects, the results of your liquid facelift can last from several months to over a year. To preserve the effects of your treatment and keep your renewed appearance, you may return for maintenance appointments as you need.

Kybella®
Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that helps eliminate the appearance of submental fat. This is stubborn fat beneath the chin that can contribute to the appearance of a double chin. Kybella’s main ingredient is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule that helps destroy and absorb local fat using a process called focal adipolysis. This is the process of targeting and eliminating specific fat cells in a way that preserves the surrounding tissues. Once Kybella helps break down the fat cells, they are unable to store or accumulate fat, resulting in a more defined and slender appearance beneath the chin and jaw. (4)
