Once you schedule your procedure, Dr. Younai and his team will provide you with detailed instructions to help you prepare. They may vary depending on your lifestyle and the details of your treatment plan, but they typically include:

Procedure

Dr. Younai performs each 360 liposuction procedure in his office using general anesthesia. The length of your procedure will vary, but you can expect it to last a few hours.

Dr. Younai will begin by placing an incision near the targeted fat deposits and injecting a tumescent fluid into the fat cells. This solution will consist of epinephrine, lidocaine, and saline, and it will constrict the blood vessels, numb the local tissues, and swell the fat cells for easier removal. (2)

Dr. Younai will then either perform tumescent liposuction or SmartLipo to contour your abdomen, flanks, and lower back. He will insert either a manual cannula or an enhanced cannula with a laser fiber mount into the targeted regions and move it back and forth to break down the fat and recontour the body. He will then aspirate it, leaving the area more slender and toned.

Recovery

After your procedure, you will need to take some time to focus on your recovery. It is common to experience some swelling, bruising, and general tenderness around the healing regions. These effects will subside on their own with time, but you may also manage them using medications and plenty of rest. Dr. Younai will also have you wear a compression garment to limit further swelling and maintain your new curves.

You will be able to return to desk work and other light, nonstrenuous tasks after you have rested for approximately 1 to 2 weeks. However, you will need to refrain from engaging in any demanding activities for several more weeks, or until Dr. Younai has cleared you to return.
